The Crown has stood on Aylesbury Road since 1695. Originally a coaching inn, it has welcomed travellers, villagers, families and friends for more than three centuries, and remains at the heart of life in Cuddington.
When our historic pub faced an uncertain future, the community refused to let it be lost. In just six weeks, residents, friends and supporters raised £660,000 to secure its future.
Today, The Crown is owned by more than 200 shareholders through a Community Benefit Society, ensuring it remains a thriving village pub and community asset for generations to come.
The Crown is not owned by a brewery or a distant company. It belongs to the people who saved it. We are proud to be its custodians, preserving its heritage while offering a warm welcome to everyone who walks through our doors.

Buying the pub was only half of it. Volunteers gave their evenings and weekends to strip, paint, fit out and make good every room before the doors could open again.
